Today, I will tell you the functional distinction and meaning of encoder color, because many encoders in the market now type English, many encoders do not introduce how to connect each wire, so here I will tell you (because this is a problem I once encountered, I personally feel it is necessary to tell you).

1) BROWN (brown) : is connected to the power supply (can be connected to 5-24V direct current), generally is connected to 24V power supply.

2) BLue (blue) : 0V (is the negative end connected to 24V power supply).

3) shied (silver) : -- for the mesh metal wire, ground wire, installed on the equipment can be connected or not connected.

4) BLacR (black) : Phase A pulse (is connected to PLC).

5) Whit (white) : B phase pulse.

6) OYuhge (orange) : Z-phase pulse.

2. Pulse count of the encoder by PLC:

(1) Because the encoder has the measured motor speed is very fast, a circle is hundreds of thousands of pulses, if the general counter is used to count, the high-speed pulse calculation can not keep up with the speed, so, in the PLC has a special high-speed pulse counter, commonly used are: C235, C236, C237, C238, C239, C240, C241. (2) The general counter can only count the production equipment products and (workpiece) (calculate the number of processing pieces), because the workpiece movement change is not so fast, the general counter number is: C0 -- C199. In addition, when you connect the encoder, you must pay special attention to:

1) Look at the function of each color line of the encoder. If it is not clear, be sure to check the connection clearly.

2) If the encoder is to be replaced and installed when the equipment is repaired in the factory, it may not be of the same brand, then the color function of the line must be different. If you encounter this situation, you must not only wire according to the color of the line, but also read the instructions and then wire. If the encoder wire is connected incorrectly, it will burn the encoder once energized. Terminals not in use must be wrapped to prevent the encoder from burning out in case of contact with AC or +24V.
